Shipping and Delivery

UK-wide delivery for made-to-measure & stocked aluminium & composite gates.
Some gates are built to order, so delivery times vary by product and finish. We keep the process clear from order approval to dispatch. Check lead times, delivery areas, inspection guidance, and what to expect on arrival below.

We typically have two categories of products:

  1. In stock items – Stocked sized gates, stock fencing range & stocked screens/other products.
  2. Bespoke items – Made to measure gates with custom locks/sizes

They each have various lead times and shipping times based on services chosen.

1. Delivery Areas

We offer delivery to:

  • Mainland UK: We cover the usual areas, within reason, through our free shipping policy.

We can also arrange delivery to the unusual shipping areas (at a cost):

  • Scottish Highlands
  • Offshore locations
  • Northern Ireland
  • Channel Islands / Isle of Man

Delivery & Lead Times

The lead time on our products is calculated from a few variables. If you have specific dates required, please contact us to ensure these can be met. 

Use the information below to work out the total lead time. 

Product Lead Time (Shipping/Transit Time Is Additional):

Our products display an indicative lead time based on our latest production schedule and orders.

Product Lead Time = Time required to manufacture/prepare your item for dispatch. 

Stock sizes (which are in stock) will typically show a few days to a week lead time, to allow us to package & QC check for dispatch. 

Bespoke services / items currently being manufactured will typically show 2 - 4 weeks lead time. 

Express Manufacture Services:

We understand that some projects are urgent. Providing we have the raw materials to manufacture your order, we do offer a premium 'express manufacture' service which is subject to availability and additional charges. 

To offer this service we would typically engage our skilled fabrication team to work overtime/weekends. A reasonable cost for this service is applicable. Examples would be £75 for a pedestrian gate or £150 for a driveway gate. 

Product lead time can be as little as a few days (from drawing sign off!). Contact us for more information. 

Delivery Services:

We offer various delivery services to help cater for as many customers, in as many areas of the UK, as possible. 

Please remember, our products are large/bulky items which are typically more of a challenge to ship UK wide, which can be challenging to do whilst keeping the cost to a minimum! 

SHARED DELIVERY SERVICE (Our FREE Shipping Service)

Typical delivery/transit time: 2 - 4 Weeks.

(In addition to the 'Product lead time/manufacture time')

This service is a shared service, grouped by postcode/area. We group multiple customers deliveries together.

DEDICATED DELIVERY SERVICE (Our Premium (Optional) Shipping Service)

Typical delivery/transit time: 2 - 3 Days.

(In addition to the 'Product lead time/manufacture time')

This service is delivery by our dedicated vehicles or by our pallet network. This removes the requirement to wait on a grouped/shared delivery above. 

In order to keep our product pricing attractive, this is a paid for delivery service (we only charge cost price incurred by ourselves!)

Total Lead Time (From Order To Delivery) Calculation:

You would add together both PRODUCT LEAD TIME and DELIVERY SERVICE TIME to get your TOTAL LEAD TIME. 

Example:

Product Manufacture/Lead Time = 2 weeks

Free Shared Delivery Service = 2 - 4 weeks 

Total Lead Time = 4 - 6 week's. 

 

Example:

Product Manufacture/Lead Time = 2 weeks

Dedicated Premium Delivery = 2 - 3 days.

Total Lead Time = 2.5 weeks.

Our free delivery service is available to MAINLAND UK only. We do offer delivery outwith mainland UK - please contact us for a quotation. 

 

4. Delivery Charges

Delivery charges depend on:

  • order size
  • product type
  • delivery postcode
  • vehicle access requirements

Delivery cost:
We offer various services for delivery

  • Free standard UK delivery
  • Express dedicated UK delivery
  • Remote area delivery

Any additional charges for remote areas or special delivery requirements will be confirmed before dispatch.

5. How Delivery Works

Once your order is ready, we will contact you regarding delivery.

Depending on the order, delivery may be:

  • kerbside delivery
  • pallet delivery
  • dedicated vehicle delivery
  • booked delivery by prior arrangement

Please note:

  • delivery is usually to the nearest safe and accessible point
  • unloading assistance may be required for larger items
  • someone must be available to receive and inspect the order if stated at the time of booking

If access is restricted, tell us before dispatch.

6. Preparing for Delivery

Before your order arrives, please make sure:

  • the delivery address is correct
  • access for the delivery vehicle is clear
  • there is enough space to unload the gate safely
  • someone is available to receive the order if required

Large made-to-measure gates can be heavy and awkward to move. Plan for safe handling on site.

7. Inspecting Your Order on Arrival

Please inspect the order as soon as it arrives.

Check:

  • correct quantity
  • correct sizes
  • correct colour / finish
  • visible transport damage
  • hardware and accessories included

If there is any issue, note it on the delivery paperwork where possible and contact us within 1 working day.

Do not begin installation if the item appears damaged or incorrect.

8. Damaged or Missing Items

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, contact us as soon as possible.

Please include:

  • your order number
  • clear photos of the item
  • photos of any packaging damage
  • a short description of the issue

Notification period: 1 working day.

We will review the issue and advise the next step.

9. Delays

We work to agreed lead times and planned dispatch dates wherever possible. However, delays can sometimes happen due to:

  • order changes after confirmation
  • incomplete or unclear measurements
  • courier or transport disruption
  • severe weather or access issues

If there is a delay affecting your order, we will update you as soon as we can.

10. Failed Deliveries and Re-Delivery

If delivery cannot be completed because:

  • no one is available to receive the order where required
  • site access is not suitable
  • delivery details are incorrect
  • unloading is not possible on arrival

a re-delivery charge may apply.

Re-delivery fees: We will advise a reasonable cost to cover the redelivery fee.

Please check all delivery information carefully before dispatch is booked.

11. Storage After Delivery

Once delivered, gates should be stored:

  • clear of standing water
  • protected from impact and site debris
  • in dry conditions where possible
  • with protective packaging left in place until fitting, if appropriate

Improper storage after delivery may affect the condition of the product.

12. Installation Timing

We recommend not booking installers until your order has been delivered and checked.

While we aim to keep all lead times accurate, made-to-measure products can occasionally be affected by factors outside normal scheduling.

This helps avoid unnecessary labour or site costs.

13. Collection Option

Collection availability: YES

If collection is available:

  • collection times: Normal opening hours
  • notice required: 1 Working day
  • vehicle requirements: Suitable for size of your product

Orders must be checked before leaving site where possible.
